Ingredients:
Beets washed, peeled, and thinly sliced - 1 kg
Red vinegar – cup
Water – 5 cups
Coarse salt – 1 tablespoon
Large lemon washed and sliced - 3
Fresh hot pepper, cut into circles – 3
Garlic, peeled and thinly sliced - 5 cloves
The method of work
1- Start by disinfecting the pot and covering it well: put them in a pot of boiling water for at least 10 minutes. Remove the pot and the lid and dry them well with a clean towel.
2- Put the beet slices in the pot, adding the pepper slices, lemon, and garlic in between.
3- Mix vinegar, water, and salt in a bottle. Add the mixture to the beets and leave the pot for at least two weeks to allow the flavors to overlap. Serve the pickle with your favorite salad or sandwich.
